Tessa has been a leading light in moulding our story. For her, defining the brand’s ethos and then advocating it in every aspect of the business every day is how you build longevity and loyalty to a brand.

In her 14 years with the Group, she has brought two cookbooks to life and has worked together with Natasha on all aspects of the business relating to building our brands, our overall strategy as well as many special projects. 

On paper, she’s a brand strategist, but in practice Tessa’s skills extend to just about any task that requires her input. This, she believes, is the only way when growing, entrepreneurial companies.

For her, witnessing and being part of the growth of our brands and our people has been an honour. She’s inspired by the group’s mentality that anything can be accomplished and draws on the mantra that “the bigger picture is in every detail”.

That she spent 8 years working with Jamie Oliver to build his business and brand is testament to her skills and is an invaluable asset to us. An itinerant businesswoman, Tessa has lived in and worked on three continents, gaining an enviable list of clients on her way.  

Though she was born in Canada and worked in the UK and US, we’re selfishly thrilled she calls South Africa her home.
