The second of the group’s brands to launch, Flamingo Room by tashas is a stylish elevated-dining concept, which currently has three locations.

The first in Dubai opened in 2017 and locations have recently opened in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.

A glimpse of PINK or a flash of a scalloped profile and most will be transported to Flamingo Room, where the notion of AFRICAN GLAMOUR is brought to life. Instantly recognisable for its colourful backdrop and glamorous, brass tinged interior, the palette is inspired by the iconic styles and colours prevalent in Miami in the ’70s.

Combining elegance and sophistication with a playful personality, evident by way of bronze meerkats and monkeys throughout, Flamingo Room by tashas is a testament to Africa’s refined side.

In tribute to the continent and its wealth of talent, local design collaborations played a major role in shaping the space and its parts. The large hand-blown glass installation that delights overhead, for example, is reminiscent of the fleeting flowers of the Baobab tree and was executed by SOUTH AFRICAN artist Mike Hyam.

Flamingo Room by tashas provides a chic, yet relaxed dining experience — from lunch into the evening for dinners and cocktails. The contemporary menu showcases elegantly prepared, simple classics with a clean profile and a leaning toward South African flavours. Dishes include Lobster & Prawn Vol-au-Vent, Butternut Carpaccio and Calamari Mozambique, as well as our famous Flamingo Room Baked Alaska – to name a few. 

There’s nothing mediocre about the drinks menu here either, with an outstanding offering of cheekily named cocktails and a marble champagne bar that epitomises contemporary GLAMOUR.

Reinforcing the brand’s love of Africa, Collective Africa, a beautiful retail space and gift store within the restaurant, offers sought-after objects and accessories, pulled from the African continent.

So beautifully executed is this restaurant that Flamingo Room by tashas scooped the HARPER’S BAZAAR Interiors Best Regional Interior Design award for its Jumeirah Al Naseem branch in 2017.
